Dive into the whys and hows of sciences such as physics, psychology, and geology in this program. We will see the invisible with microscopes and cloud chambers, construct and test models, and go behind the scenes at the Collection of Historical Scientific Instruments with tools that scientists used hundreds of years ago!
Each Summer Science Week program is taught by a professional educator and serves a maximum of 15 students. Based in one of the museum classrooms, students work independently and in groups to examine museum specimens, conduct experiments, create crafts, explore museum galleries, play games, and have fun! |

With Camp Mythos, your child doesn’t just learn about mythology—they live it. Inspired by beloved stories like Percy Jackson and the rich tapestry of world mythology, young adventurers step into the role of demigods-in-training, embarking on epic quests that blend ancient legends with modern adventure.
Each Camp Mythos session is a journey of discovery, teamwork, and heroism. Participants are sorted into teams representing different mythological pantheons (Greek, Roman, Egyptian, or Norse), where they’ll work together to complete challenges, solve riddles, interact with mythic characters, and uncover ancient mysteries. From training in combat to deciphering ancient prophecies, every activity is designed to immerse kids in a world where they’re the heroes of their own epic tale.

Our camp is Massachusetts certified, our counselors are fun, our trainers are Massachusetts licensed and our horses are amazing.
Facilities include 2 large indoor arenas, a 100×200 outdoor arena with jumper course, cross country schooling field, trails around our property and over 30 exceptional horses and ponies. |

Creative Kids: Emerging Artists will engage students across PEM’s exhibitions and galleries, exploring artistry across time periods and cultures while inspiring students’ creative expressions. From Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, students will be engaged by teaching artists through games, art making, explorations of the museum and writing workshops, in 60-90 minute increments with snack and lunch breaks. Students will be encouraged to respond to their experiences through art and writing, and will celebrate their creations in a family showcase and reception at 4 pm on July 17. |

Kids will explore a variety of art and craft media: painting and drawing, wood, tie dye or painting a t-shirt with colorfast fabric paints, cardboard and wire sculpture; printmaking and collages, mosaics with glass tiles, air dry clay, sewing stuffed animals and pillows, wet felting, silk painting, paper mache, painting a canvas and/or bulletin board and much more. We may also do artwork inspired by Modern artists such as Monet, Picasso and Matisse The first day kids can choose from two art and craft projects to do. Future class projects will be discussed the first day and projects for the rest of the week will be tailored to the children's interests. (ages 5-9) |
