What our organization offers:
Ages for which our activities are most appropriate:
I recognize everyone plays music for a different reason, and because of that my teaching style has a heavy focus on what the student's interests are. For adults, I focus the lessons on topics your most interested in and supplement the lessons with relevant material. For younger students, the lessons have more structure but are still relevant to music they enjoy.

A guitarist since age 5, I have been around music my whole life. Starting lessons at age 12, I immediately fell in love with studying music. While taking lessons through my high school years, I started an original band and started playing live shows and entering competitions. I was featured in Guitar Center’s King of the Blues competition in 2005 and 2007, where I was selected as one of the top 9 blues guitarists in New England both times. I eventually ended up at Berklee College of Music where I graduated with a degree in Music Production and Engineering in 2014. During my time at Berklee I joined the band Mindwalk Blvd. As a band, we have combined YouTube views of over 3 million and won awards such as Best Heavy Rock/Metal act in 2010 by the Boston Music Conference. Throughout my education, I've studied privately with Matt Garstka (Animals As Leaders), Jon Finn, Scott Tarulli, Don Lappin, Joe Stump, & Evan Waaramaa. Since then, I've formed local wedding band Down a 5th. I teach full time as well as perform live shows with Down a 5th and produce local artists. I have been teaching full time for 14 years and have worked with students of all ages and skill levels.

My lessons are fun, informative, and I always relate what we are doing back to real music by showing examples of techniques and concepts used in songs.
