Beyond Spooky: Discover Why Bats Are Cool and Important - Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary
Bats have a spooky reputation they don't deserve, and this program is here to set the record straight! As dusk falls over Ipswich River's fields and forest, you'll walk the sanctuary trails searching the evening sky for bats while learning about their behaviors, habitats, and the surprising ways they support the ecosystems around us.
Learn how to "see with sound" with the Wildlife Acoustics Echo Meter, a special device that picks up and records the ultrasonic calls bats make while hunting—sounds our ears can't detect on their own.
