Balanced Learning Center/Joanie's Place

Balanced Learning Center is a collaborative effort joining behavioral health treatment, speech therapy, occupational therapy and educational opportunities to bring children, families and adults a team-based approach to meeting their needs. We focus on building strengths, learning new skills and relying on individuals as the experts on their lives. We are supporting building an open and inviting community through the sharing of each individual's unique experience, clinical intervention and engaging activities! Joanie's Place has designated clinicians who specialize and are trained in working with LGBTQIA+ people. We service children and adults through individual counseling services. We also provide support letters for gender affirming surgery pending assessment. You can use the information below to place a referral. Joanie's Place offers an array of community events, including the first-ever LGBTQIA+ Inclusive Prom for youth in Fall River! We also host monthly social events to give youth the opportunity to connect with one another.
