You have complete control over the design of this video game and will create your own characters and environments. Design objects that you can pick up to help your avatar and design obstacles to increase the difficulty of the game. Students will learn specific strategies to get over the hump of starting a college essay and will discover how to write more confidently and creatively. The class closely examines essay prompts and students gain insight by writing and participating in feedback sessions with each other and the instructor.

Explore the world of investing and learn how the markets work in this week-long introduction to trading. Attention will be given to traditional modes of investment (and why starting early is so important!), but class will also focus on active trading, cryptocurrencies, penny stocks, and other risky avenues that some investors pursue. Simulated trading competitions will refine fundamental concepts as students learn how to manage a portfolio.
