During this workshop students will explore how humans have understood and changed the Earth’s surface. An introduction to the tools and analytical skills employed by geographers will be covered, with an emphasis on connecting geographic concepts and qualifying trends in data and visual sources. Objectively understanding information from maps, images, and infographics will also be examined as part of the “Tools of the Geographer.”

Patrick, a long-time instructor with Higher Ground, has taught Spanish all over the world, from right here in Utah to Spain. Non-native speakers should have about three years of Spanish language classes as a prerequisite: native or heritage speakers may not necessarily require such a prerequisite.
