Power of Persuasion: How to Win Arguments, Negotiate Deals, and Charm Audiences (Age 12-17)

From classical debate to elements of stand-up comedy, this class will challenge students to engage with their peers in a fun, competitive atmosphere. We'll look at core elements of psychology as well as case studies of famous influencers. Each day will feature a different theme with consistent, hands-on games. Intensive Creative Writing (Grade 9-12)

Practice the craft and art of imaginative writing. Explore elements of form and style, language and voice, as you create your own poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. You will use exercises and models of professional and student writing to stimulate your imagination. Through our workshop process, become sensitive and responsive to specific yet constructive commentary. Attendance is mandatory for students wishing to earn credit for this course.

YAE: Cracking the Case with Mystery Writing (Age 11-13)

Students will learn about the core elements of the mystery genre, study some of the most prominent authors of the mystery scene, and put their sleuthing skills to the test by crafting their own mystery short story. We will cultivate questions and curiosity as students participate in a Q&A with a guest professional from the criminal justice field.
