Koltun Ballet Boston’s Pre-Professional Ballet Program focuses on the individual student. Building technique, flexibility, artistry, and strength through classical ballet to serve as a foundation for a professional future career in dance. Placement in the Pre-Professional and Children’s Program is by audition only and geared to the serious ballet student who possesses a genuine desire to progress in a classical ballet school.

I’ve been teaching music in group and private settings for 17 years. It’s my full-time job and has evolved from a casual gig into what I know will be a lifelong passion. I’ve dedicated years of study, training, and experience to the craft, and I strive continually to be the best teacher that I can be.

Many of our youth have experienced chronic complex trauma and we use a trauma-informed perspective in all our work. Youth benefit greatly from the sense of belonging and connection with caring staff and have the opportunity to build their confidence through small and steady accomplishments and meeting challenges with the constant support of staff. We meet youth where they are – through schools, peers, and families – and outreach continually.

We want students interested in understanding the technical mechanics behind skills and developing a quality movement style that they want to present in performance and/or integrate into their general circus practice. We encourage excellent technique and elegant presentation and transitions. Students should select a class that will be both physically and emotionally rewarding -- not too difficult that you are not able to focus on the fun smaller details that truly make the difference in skill/combination execution.

This music class is for preschool aged children. In class your child will: Sing, get hands-on exposure to a variety of rhythm instrument, develop listening skills,memorize words & movements, grow confidence to express her/himself through music.

We accomplish all this by our mentored externship approach, in which we pair you with a real music producer or audio engineer who trains you one-on-one in an actual recording studio, combining a structured-yet-flexible curriculum with hands-on training.

All of our music classes employ our patented School of Rock Method. Our Method uses performance-based teaching techniques including private music lessons, online music lessons, and group rehearsals.
