EcoTarium is excited to have The Caterpillar Lab join us for two back-to-back days (Friday, July 12 & Saturday, July 13), with a free-exploration program that allows visitors experience the incredible world of New England caterpillars!
This drop-in program will feature a variety of local caterpillar species and there will be plenty to see and touch! Guest educators will host stations demonstrating metamorphosis and caterpillar’s strange and surprising adaptations — caterpillars may be camouflaged to look like twigs or snakes, or have stinging spines or brightly colored baubles.
Check out these little-known native critters munching on plants right in front of you! Stay for a few minutes or for an hour; you’re sure to see something new!
