Greetings to Puddletown’s May Chess Webinar, hosted by National Master Austin Tang! In this seminar, we will explore the concept of “candidate moves,” a powerful technique that encourages players to first look for options rather than diving into endless calculations. This approach helps structure thinking and unlock creative possibilities. We will focus on using candidate moves as a simple yet effective tool to enhance creativity. By considering ideas that haven’t immediately come to mind, we can discover new insights and deepen our understanding of the position before us.
Date: May 18, 2025
Time: 7 PM - 8 PM (PDT)
Venue: Online - Zoom (link will be emailed to registrants on the day of the event)
