One Cup of Kindness
One Cup of Kindness is Connor's Kindness Project's signature Lemonade Stand Fundraiser, inspired by the very first act of kindness that started it all. What began as a simple lemonade stand created by founder Connor Wright has grown into a community-wide movement that empowers children, families, schools, businesses, and community organizations to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children facing challenging circumstances.
The Story Behind One Cup of Kindness
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Connor wanted to find a way to help others and spread kindness within his community. He started by hosting a lemonade stand and using the proceeds to create care packages for children experiencing illness, isolation, and other difficult situations. What seemed like a small act of generosity quickly demonstrated the power of kindness and community support.
As Connor's efforts expanded, so did his vision. Those early lemonade stand proceeds helped launch what would become Connor's Kindness Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children facing illness, homelessness, grief, foster care placement, and other vulnerable circumstances. Today, One Cup of Kindness honors those beginnings by giving others the opportunity to follow in Connor's footsteps and turn a simple lemonade stand into an act of compassion.
How One Cup of Kindness Makes an Impact
Funds raised through One Cup of Kindness directly support Connor's Kindness Project's programs and initiatives, including the creation and distribution of Kindness Kits. These special kits are filled with toys, games, books, art supplies, comfort items, and encouraging messages designed to bring joy and comfort to children during difficult times.
Each lemonade stand helps provide resources that allow Connor's Kindness Project to:
