Martin Luther King Jr. Day Vacation Program - At New Art Center
*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 01/20/2025
Join us for a day of art-making and friend-making while honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. This year, students will work with artist-in-residence and curator Chenoa Baker to explore how art engages the senses, inspired by the exhibit Sensory Garden on view in the New Art Corridor from January 15 through February 12. The photo used for this course is an example of what can be made, but may not represent the actual work made during the course. With any questions or concerns, please contact our Main Office. Students will have the opportunity to work in four mediums - drawing/painting, clay, sculpture, and performance. Please send your student with art-friendly clothes, two nut-free snacks and a lunch.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
