Backyard and Beyond: Nature Journals

Discovery Museum is a hands-on museum for families that blends science, nature, and play. The fully accessible campus provides indoor STEM-based exhibits and a nature playscape and giant treehouse for open-ended learning explorations.

Explore the natural world through science, art, and writing. Pick up a simple nature journal and explore, investigate, and record in Discovery Woods and the Great Hill conservation land. Please note that the conservation land trails are not ADA or stroller accessible, please wear appropriate footwear and clothing—this program is weather and conditions dependent. For more information on Great Hill, please visit trails.actonma.gov. Inclement weather may result in changes to this program, or cancellation.
