Arias Aloft: Rising Waters, Rising Voices
April 27, 2025
3:00PM
A collaboration between Circus 617, Boston Lyric Opera, and Opera on Tap Boston
Co-presented with South Boston’s Mom’s Club
Circus 617 and Opera on Tap Boston combine two thrilling art forms for one-of-a-kind experience in Boston Lyric Opera’s new Opera + Community Studios. Down the street from the Boston Children’s Museum and the ICA, in a beautiful modern performance space, we’re offering a new kind of cultural event! Join us for a wonderful introduction to opera through the magic of the circus as some of the city’s finest singers perform alongside thrilling acrobatics. After being cooped up this winter, make live arts and culture a part of your weekend again and make it a lasting impression with enchanting acrobatic choreography set to the most stunning music of the classical canon. And to make the experience even sweeter, we’ll have ice cream for sale from local favorite, Colleen’s of Medford!
Inspired by BLO’s new initiative to bring Climate Awareness to the forefront, Arias Aloft: Rising Waters, Rising Voices features music and movement inspired by humanity’s connection to Earth’s waterways. This all-ages show features opera, musical theater, and cabaret classics paired with breathtaking original circus acts.
