Salem Arts Festival At Peabody Essex Museum

Celebrate the Salem Arts Festival at PEM with a weekend of special events! On Saturday, June 7, join us for free art making on Essex Street. We’ll be hosting the traveling art studio Creative Wanderings for mosaic making outside PEM’s front door. We’ll also be joined by Artists For Humanity, a Boston-based organization that trains and employs teens in creative fields of work and aims to transform communities through creative expression. Join them to help make a collaborative mural! On Sunday, June 8, PEM will host a special pop-up photobooth inside the museum. Inspired by the opening of Jung Yeondoo: Building Dreams, Artists for Humanity designed an experience to let you step into your dreams.

World Ocean Day at the New England Aquarium

Special Access Tour at the Waterworks Museum

Special Access ticket holders will receive an in-depth guided tour and be permitted access to the sub-basement two stories below ground to view the massive Allis pumps that delivered 30 million gallons of water per day to the citizens of Boston. Participants will also have the exclusive opportunity to climb either the Allis Engine or the Leavitt engine for an up-close look at these mammoth machines. This tour is recommended for ages 10 and up and all participants must be at least 46 inches tall due to the height of the safety rails.

Annual Auto Show at Heritage Museums & Gardens
